In 2025, we'll discover the Flemish and Dutch masters on a small group barging tour through Holland and Belgium with landscape artist David Dunlop. This tour is for painters only.
We’ll tour museums, local sites and enchanting villages and country sides dotted with windmills and bicycles! A highlight of our museum visits will be to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Mauritshuis in The Hague to see their extensive art collection and works by Johannes Vermeer, including the Girl with the Pearl Earring. This tour begins in Amsterdam and ends in Bruges.
Check back to see if we have more barging in Netherlands tours where we will travel the canals of Holland departing from the mooring in Amsterdam and moor in picturesque locations such as Haarlem, Leiden, Delft and Gouda. We return to Amsterdam to explore this vibrant city’s major museums – the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.
If you’re inspired by the locations and the artwork, bring along a sketch book and a few drawing supplies to spend some time sketching. A chartered coach will take us to and from the barge to all designated locations.
There will be free time in every city with plenty of options for sightseeing, walking, independent museum exploration and shopping at local markets.
